My name is Terry Fitzgibbons. I live in New Jersey, where I teach high school social studies. I am originally from Chalfont, Pennsylvania.
From 2004 to 2006, I served as the Auxiliaries Officer and then First Lieutenant on the USS Cardinal and USS Pelican, and from 2006 to 2008, I served as the Damage Control Assistant on the USS Cowpens. I wrote about those experiences in a self-published book: Assumed the Watch. Moored as Before. (An Alternative Naval Officer's Guide). In the years since, I have become an active member of Veterans for Peace, Chapter 21, the North New Jersey chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, and the NJEA (my union).
